This can occur for the following reasons: v The SET DATA TYPE keyword was specified on an ALTER TABLE ALTER COLUMN statement, but the maximum number of ALTER statements for this table has already been reached. v The statement attempts to alter an index, but the maximum number of ALTER statements for this index has already been reached.System action: The statement cannot be executed. Programmer response: Run MODIFY to instruct DB2 that copies of a certain age will no longer be employed in recovery, and versions only used in those copies can be reused.
